Incidentally, did you know that the town of Palmdale is called "Palm"-dale because the earliest settlers were morons? That's right, they believed the Joshua trees (which grow homogenously in only two regions of the world, one being in the Mojave Desert) were palm trees (which grow like all over, except in the Mojave Desert). So they named their little town after their foolish mistake.
Aren't Joshua Trees cool? They take centuries to get that big and can live up to a thousand years. Its sad when you see them being pulled up so houses can get built especially when you think how long it took them to grow :(
It was a lovely day in the reserve. Glad you were able to get some great shots :)
